WHY?
Viewers agree -- Comedy: The Road Less Traveled motivates people to do something more, to step out of their comfort zone and make a difference in and out of their community by showing a way to give tangible love to the otherwise and forgotten and cast aside. The interviews and testimonies in the film help put a face to despair and brokenness; hurting people talk about their trials and heartaches, yet we also see a glimmer of hope and strength as they respond to Comedian Michael Jr.’s performance. Common ground is found in laughter--comedy connects people. Because the film merges compassion with comedy, TRLT creates a non-threatening opportunity to invite people to church. With this release strategy, viewers are invited to see a full-feature film shot in high definition for a much lower price than they would in a traditional movie theater. Or, if you prefer, you may opt to raise the ticket price by a small margin and donate the additional funds to a charity of your choice. A large portion of the proceeds are going to help people like the ones you meet in the film, you will bless others just by showing up. As a fun activity for the whole family, CTRLT also creates opportunities for teachable moments between parents and their children, pastors and congregations, friends and neighbors.
